18th April 2021, the third edition of All India Global Jigyasa Quiz 2021, which is India’s largest online GK Quiz for children of 10 to 13 years (Grades 5 to 8), was organized from 10th April 2021 to 18th April 2021. The quiz was organized on an online platform, thereby providing the students from all across India, an opportunity to enhance their GK while participating in innovative quiz formats. The quiz witnessed participation from over 1500 students and 300 schools across India.
AIGJQ 2021 was organized by SkillSphere Education, a pan Asia 21st century skill set development organisation. The organisation is founded by Mr. Anansh Prasad, an alumnus of Cornell University, USA and is officially recognized by Indian Government’s DPIIT.
AIGJQ 2021 took off with a preliminary round which was conducted via the Global Jigyasa app on 10th April 2021. The instructions were provided well in advance to the participants about how to download the app and attempt the quiz. The quiz had 50 multiple choice questions that were to be answered in 25 minutes.
The top 64 students from a total of 1500 students qualified for the studio rounds which were conducted live on Facebook from 12th April to 18th April 2021. About 40 enthusiastic students from Rajmata Krishna Kumari Girls’ Public School took part in the preliminary round. Two students, Adwitiya Saxena and Reet Mehta qualified for the studio round by making it to the group of top 64 students.
The studio rounds took off with the Round of 64 (Pre-quarter Finals) and succeeded with Round of 32 (Quarter Finals), Round of 8 (Semi-finals) before finally culminating into the exciting Final 4 (Grand Finale). Each of the quizzes had 4 students participating. The rounds and formats were extremely innovative and were based on the theme of Diwali, Eid, Christmas and Makar Sankranti.
It was an incredible journey since the commencement of the Quiz contest and witnessed an engrossing, fulfilling and blazing week of bright minds competing against each other. The competition proved to be a very informative and knowledge enriching one for both the participants as well as the audience. The participants surprised the judges and the audience with their knowledge and information. The questions put forth to the participants were captivating, exciting and made everyone applaud excitedly when the participants answered correctly. The competition was very tough but in the end the most deserving participant won.
The competition provided yet another wonderful opportunity to the students of Rajmata Krishna Kumari Girls’ School to represent their school on a global platform, thereby expanding their knowledge, helping them to explore new skills and seek opportunities to excel beyond academics.
