One of the most enlightening experiences was the hands-on experiment by the Nobel Laureate Dr. Hideki Shirakawa. The experimental class for creating and interactive session with such an eminent personality was once in a lifetime opportunity for the students. Miraiken- the National Museum of Emerging Science and innovation was the place where they met ASIMO- the Humanoid Robot, saw the geo cosmos screening, large mechanical hands on model of the internet, models of particle accelerator etc.
A visit to JAMSTEC made them aware about the improvement in marine science, climate and technology, global climatic change, climatic variation predictability, Biogenesis- the evolution process of Earth, earthquake and Tsunami research projects for disaster prevention. This visit was an eye opener to different ideas and perspective relevant to human lives. The enriching and welcoming environment provided growth and development in the newly discovered matters.
