CELEBRATION OF MAHATMA GANDHI JAYANTI AT RKKGPS

October 2nd 2023 marks the 155th birthday anniversary of Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, a significant figure in India's struggle for independence and a global symbol of peace and non-violence. At Rajmata Krishna Kumari Girls' Public School, this important day was commemorated with great enthusiasm and reverence.

The aim of the celebration was to educate students about the life and teachings of Gandhiji and to instil values of truth, non-violence, and social responsibility.

The essence of the celebration revolved around the speech and performances by students. Sushila Bishnoi eloquently spoke about Gandhiji's life, his principles, and his role in India's struggle for independence. She highlighted his commitment to truth, simplicity, and social justice inspiring everyone about Gandhiji's philosophy of non-violence.

A cultural program featuring dance related to Gandhiji's life and principles was presented by students of the boarding from various grade levels. The heartfelt performance not only celebrated his life but also kindled a sense of admiration and inspiration for his unwavering commitment to truth, simplicity, and social justice.

In honor of the iconic leader, Madam Seema Baxi arranged for a quiz. This event aimed not only to pay tribute to the legendary leader but also to promote knowledge and awareness among young minds of RKKGPS. It was an opportunity for the students to test their knowledge and learn more about the man who not only inspired India but also the world.

To keep up the spirit of the celebration, the students of RKKGPS from class VII actively participated in the "Shramdaan" activity, as part of the 'Swachhata Hi Seva' campaign, reinforced our commitment to cleanliness, sanitation, and hygiene. It was a tangible expression of our belief that positive change begins with us, within our communities, and that we must actively contribute to creating a cleaner and healthier society.

In closing, the celebration of Gandhi Jayanti at Rajmata Krishna Kumari Girls' Public School was not just a commemoration but a call to action, a reminder that the values and principles of Mahatma Gandhi are not relics of the past but guiding lights for our future. We carry forward his legacy with renewed determination, knowing that his message of peace and non-violence is as relevant today as it was during his lifetime.
