SAI INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL, BHUBANESWAR (2ND EDITION OF THE STORY RELAY-PASS THE BATON COLLABORATION)

Rajmata Krishna Kumari Girls' Public School actively engaged in the 2nd edition of the Story Relay-Pass The Baton collaboration from 1st to 15th May 2024, a literary initiative that aimed at fostering creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration among students aged 11 to 13 from Round Square schools. The primary objective of the Story Relay project was to facilitate the development of 21st-century skills among participating students, including language proficiency, creativity, critical thinking, and teamwork. The collaborative storytelling process involved sequential contribution from participating schools. Each school built upon the storyline while ensuring coherence with previous chapters, resulting in a cohesive and engaging narrative. RKK was 7th in sequence and wrote the chapter “Whispers of Discord: The Serpent’s Tale” in which 10 students from grade sixth to eighth participated. The participants were; Myra Basu, Tamanna Bhawnani, Unnati Singh, Jaskeerat Kaur, Saanvi Agarwal, Priyali Gandhi, Sneha Bansal, Jigyasa, and Siyona Mehta under the able guidance of Ma’am Neetu Chatterji. The project emphasized collaboration, encouraging students to incorporate the ideas of previous chapters while adding their unique contributions. This approach fostered critical thinking and creativity within a collaborative framework, exemplifying the spirit of UNITY IN DIVERSITY. In addition to textual contributions, each school enriched its chapters with pictorial illustrations. These visuals complemented the narrative and enhanced the overall storytelling experience, adding depth and context to the evolving storyline. The participation of Rajmata Krishna Kumari Girls' Public School in the Story Relay project exemplifies its commitment to holistic development and the nurturing of essential skills among its students. Through collaborative storytelling, students not only honed their storytelling abilities but also cultivated a deeper appreciation for Diversity and Unity. The resulting storybook stands as a testament to the collective creativity and ingenuity of all participating schools, showcasing the power of collaboration within the Round Square Community.
