The online collaboration of multiple schools for the
“World Music Montage” was a remarkable initiative taken by Mayo College that aimed at celebrating the diverse musical cultures from around the world. This collaborative project brought together students, educators and musicians from various schools in a unique virtual setting. Participating schools were asked to record a video of students singing the song “I’d like to teach the world to sing” on a music track made by Mayo College.
Two students, trained by
Mrs Swati Bhati, Music faculty of RKK Tulika Harshwardhan of Class 12th and Suhasini Harshwardhan of Class IX were trained for the project. The Video Shoot happened on 19th October 2023 in Badanrangshala Auditorium. Students wore traditional attire and a beautiful picture of Mehrangarh Fort was displayed in the background. The videos and recordings of the song from different schools were be edited together to create a coherent “World Music Montage” Video by Mayo College. Now it is available to a global audience through online platforms and social media.
The project exemplified the power of music to transcend geographical boundaries and bringing people together. Resonating with the philosophy of
‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ – one earth- one family – one future.
