ST. STITHIANS GIRL'S COLLEGE IN SOUTH AFRICA (RS ZOOM POSTCARD)

On 6th September 2023, Six students, namely Iram Khan, Saima Singh, Tanishka Gaur, Ananya Agarwal, Tiya Gupta, and Jaanya Rathi, along with their in-charge, Prachi Jain attended a Postcard Call on the theme, "Understanding the SDGs" hosted by St. Stithians Girl's College in South Africa. Several schools worldwide discussed about the importance of SDGs and the various problems faced by each country. It was fascinating to learn about the diverse range of initiatives being carried out by each school to create awareness about SDGs amongst the youth. Some schools focused on environmental issues, such as recycling and reducing waste, water pollution and sanitation while others emphasized more on concerns related to other SDGs. It was heartening to see the dedication of these schools towards making a positive impact on their communities. In short, there was a detailed discussion on the various causes, types and practices one can take towards achieving these SDGs. In a nutshell, it was a very fruitful session.
