The RS Zoom Postcard from
Ivanhoe Grammar School in Australia was held on 2nd August with its theme being 'Democracy in action' and a pre work to complete course on a
'Voice to the Parliament'. The meeting started with the brief introduction of the land of Australia including its constitution, political working, invasions, culture, language and about present day Australia by the host school. Then the session broke out into various break out rooms where the schools from various countries discussed on ideas like indigenous and non-indigenous and their voice in their countries, about the parliament of respective countries and some movements that took place in Australia. There after everyone again joined the main session where the host school discussed about 'no or yes to campaign and arguments' followed by break out room session number two where a brief discussion on, ‘Are enough steps taken to hear voices of indigenous communities’ took place. This brought to an end of the postcard session. It was an enriching experience knowing about the history and land of Australia.
