The
RS Zoom Postcard from Kinross Wolaroi School in Australia on
24th May was indeed an informative experience. The theme for the Postcard was "Building Community Connections". The six students -
Manvi Kataria, Vidushi Digga, Anshika Agarwal, Gunraj Singh Chouhan, Priyamwada Singh Rathore and Rishika Parakh from Class - XI participated earnestly and eagerly with the help of their Student Adult Incharge Shruti Rathi. After joining the students were given a brief synopsis of what was in store for them and then were divided into different breakout rooms in which they discussed about what their schools were doing for building community connections.
The students of RKK talked about the 'Prayaas', Project, its free distribution to rural girls and women along the lines of 'Donation Drives for Helpage India', 'Visiting old age home', etc. Delegates also discussed the setbacks they had in building community connections and how they overcome them. Further more all the participants discussed new ways and ideas in which they can build a stronger connection in their community. Through this RS Zoom Postcard, RKKians gained new experiences, knowledge and new perceptions to help the communities around and be a more altruistic part of the society.
