Diversity is a fact, Equity is a choice, Inclusion is the action and Belonging is what comes as the outcome. Calgary French & International School in Canada hosted a RS Zoom Postcard with the theme
“Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committees: Let’s chat!” on
1st February 2023. Our school participated with a team of students Diksha Rajpurohit, Rana Sakshiba, Ishita Rathore, Disha Balar, Gohil Diyaba Hitendrasinh and Deeksha Garg with their Student Adult Shruti Rathi.The call started with the introduction of the school, presenting their idea behind the reason to inculcate the meet. The further division of the call was shifting the participants onto the different breakout rooms, where the rooms were associated with one of their hosts. The discussion created was the variety of measures taken by schools to spread diversity and implement inclusion. The distinct minds from divergent groups over the world presented their state of mind. It was continued with discussions going one step ahead. Everyone in the room marked their views on economic diverseness and commented on the affected results for a better outcome.
The call was ended due to the short span of time but not unending thoughts of the thinkers. It was a great session to express the running perspective on the topic of diversity, inclusion and equity.
