Six students -
Suhani Baheti, Deeksha Garg, Diksha Rajpurohit, Sanskriti Soni , Nandini Sharma and Udita Singh with their Teacher Incharge Ms Namrata Mehta on 14th September 2022 participated in the St. George’s College 90 minute Postcard Call on the theme,
‘Healing the World with Comedy’. The Postcard Call started with a music comedy presentation. All the attendees enjoyed the comedy song. Next, the attendees were allotted with breakout rooms for a better discourse about comics and stand up comedy in modern society. The break out room session started with introduction of all the attendees, proceeding with more such standup videos and interesting questions like what was your inference from the videos, who was Bo Burham? , What kind of ideas does he deliver as a comedian? Do you think he can be called an activist? etc .etc. After the breakout sessions, participants witnessed a video presentation on the theme stand-ups by the host school followed by a discussion on Bo Burnham, Hannah Gadsby , Donald Grover, Tayler Tomlison and many more .The call witnessed 85 participants from 16 schools, 9 countries namely, India , Kenya, Namibia , Pakistan, UAE , USA etc.). After a very intersting and fruitful discourse, the host school prepared an engaging game for all viz., ‘A politician or a comedian?’. With this the post card call ended giving all an enriching learning and enjoying experience.
