RS Virtual Conference was organized by R
iverdale School, New York on
5th May 2022 on the theme
“Democracy; the Voice of the People”. RKK’s 5 participants were Geet Bhansali, Aleena Khan, Manvi Gehlot, Nitya Parihar and Adwitiya Saxena with their Teacher Incharge Mrs Kalyani Banerjee.The event saw an overwhelming participation of more than 50 Schools from all over the world. It started with the presenters giving an overview of the theme. This was followed by a presentation on the importance of Access to Education especially for tribal people by Ms. Ophilia. The students then joined the break out rooms where they introduced themselves. This was followed by an Introduction of Riverdale School, a Story Telling Club Overview and a video on " How do we define Democracy?"
After this, the top 10 postcards were displayed and students were asked to speak on their postcards for a minute. It was heartening to see that RKK's Postcard featured in the Top 10. The event concluded with a message of how education plays an important role in our society to prepare children to become the responsible global citizen.
