In today’s world everyone has the right to lead a life with equal opportunities and freedom, where men and women can stand in solidarity, forging a bold and united force for equality. Keeping this in mind Dhirubhai Ambani International School hosted ‘
SAMAANTA,’ a Gender Equality Global-Perspective Symposium on 7th July 2021. The aim of the symposium was to engage in discussions on achieving equality for all genders, as well as to explore diverse cultural perspectives of participating schools from all over the world.
During the symposium, participants interacted with the Keynote Speaker, Dr. Vibha Bakshi, who provided an Indian perspective on gender equality and shared her work on spreading awareness about the same. Other international schools presented their perspectives on the theme engaging the delegates in fruitful discussions.
Considering that Samaanta was a sensitive issue, all the participants approached it with an open mind and empathy. Participating students from RKK were :
