'Growing Up is Mandatory, but Growing Old is Optional'.The topic of the conference was "The Art of Growing Up - A collaboration towards shaping the minds and hearts of the future" hosted by The Millennium School, Dubai on
13th & 14th June 2021 in which participating Schools were The Doon School, The Punjab Public School, Dhirubhai Ambani International School and many more. The conference started with an overview of the topic and workshop by Mr. Patrick Ehler on ‘Emotional Intelligence’.
Students were then divided into breakout rooms where they had an Ice Breaking Session to get to know each other.
The conference became more interesting when Mrs. Gulshan Kavarana taught the participants, Sign Languages like Alphabets, Colours, Numbers etc. The first day ended with much fun.
The second day of the event on 14 th June delegates were more excited and enthusiastic for what the day would bring in. The day started with the opening remarks by the host school, followed by an enriching and learning interactive session by Dr. Gilda Scarfe who briefed the participants on the topic ' Finding Your Purpose '.
Next, they were divided into multiple workshops based on their preferences such as baking, cooking, mandalas, dancing and what not! After the break session, students were once again divided into baraza groups where they discussed and finalised their well- being journals, carried on by presentations of each baraza group. Another interactive session with Mr. Gaurav Kapoor, an actor and presenter was like icing on the cake followed by the closing ceremony.
The participants from RKK were Avni Jain, Himakshi Parashar, Vanshika Arora and Ayushi Malani with their Teacher Incharge, Dr Manjeet Singh Rathore.
