Private Realschule Gut Warnberg, Germany. RKKGPS was proficiently represented by: Nishika Kumbhat, Yahvi Sharma, Manvi Gulecha, Pearl Singhvi and teacher Incharge Mrs Neha Bhargava Awasthi.
The students were also assigned a pre-conference task, which they had to complete a week before the main conference, on the theme of our culture, without mentioning the country. Our participants put their creative minds together and came up with an outstanding poster for the event, which was greatly appreciated by one and all. The hosts lauded it and called it a vibrant, happy poster which depicted the spirit of the country aptly.
17/05/21 : Time: 4:00pm to 4:45pm In the pre- conference meeting, the hosts walked us through the proceedings that would take place on the main day, played a game on the Kahoot app to acquaint them with the quizzes and games that would be conducted during the conference. The hosts also guided the participant students so as how to interact amongst themselves in their baraza groups etc. It was a 45 minutes session and all the participants thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
20/05/21 : Time: 3:30pm to 6:30pmAll the participants across the world joined the meeting and interacted with each other before the meeting. Shortly after that, the students were sent in their pre formed baraza groups where they were asked to present their poster and tell about things depicted on the poster to others. It was a very informative session for the kids as they got to know a lot about cultures of other countries as well.
The keynote speaker for the day, Ms. Gill Woodman gave a very illuminating picture presentation on Culture to the students to help them understand how culture evolve, what do they mean, how they affect us and vice versa etc in a very easy and fun way. Thereafter, Ms Woodman also held a question and answer session with the students in which she clarified a lot of doubts that the children had about their understanding of Culture. Moving on, the students were again sent to their baraza group where they played a game on Kahoot app on Cultures of the world. The questions were really interesting and engaging. After the game, all the baraza groups' participants continued to interact amongst each other. They told each other about their traditional clothing, how they spent their day, especially nowadays during the lockdown and their traditional way of greeting. Each group also devised a greeting, typical to their baraza group, which was a combination of multiple greetings of different countries of their group. Once all the baraza groups joined the main session, each group presented their greeting to others.
The participants ended the meeting by devising and performing another greeting as the Round Square greeting. The entire session arrested everyone's attention and provided a gripping insight into multifarious cultures of the world. It was a remarkable learning platform for our students on an international level.
