Anishka Anand, Ishita Gandhi, Nehal Gehlot, Niharika Pamnani, Jaya Sankhla and Deeksha Garg participated in the
St. Mildred's Round Square Conference on 21st April 2021 under the supervision of Ms.Vani Jangid.
The call focused on Earth Day and the topic of restoring our Earth. The hosts led a discussion on tackling global environmental issues, creating attainable solutions and making plans to implement them. Students were invited to share what sustainability looks like in their part of the world, swap ideas on sustainable leadership and manageable solutions, as well as pitfalls to avoid.
A video was shared showing how a 16 year old was taking steps in Canada to improve the unfavorable water conditions faced by the indigenous community. The breakout rooms were open where participants discussed what they learnt from this video and how could they improve such situations through their actions which was then discussed collectively in the main room. The Conference was very interactive for the students as well as for teachers. Participants could see things from a different perspective apart from their opinion .It was thoroughly
an interactive and informative meeting with so many students around the world.
