Every year RKK offers numerous opportunities to the students to learn, grow explore and showcase their talents. Four Students, Lipika Digga, Ayushi Malani, Purva Khatri and Drishti Varyani with Mrs Sapna Gupta, RS Representative grabbed the golden opportunity to represent RKK in RSIC 2019 held at
The Emerald heights International School, Indore from
2nd to 8th October 2019. Theme of the conference was –
‘Sarvodaya’ : ‘The World We Wish to See’ which was chosen to commemorate the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. The team was warmly welcomed by the students of the host School. First day comprised campus tour, ice-breaking activities followed by a Carnival. Next day was action-packed. In the morning there was Opening Ceremony followed by the Conference Photograph. Two Keynote Speakers were lined up for the first day. First was Mr. Kailash Satyarthi who spoke about how by being compassionate we can build together a better world where no one suffers. 2nd was Mr. Shashi Tharoor who spoke about the social, cultural and economic life of India. Every evening there were performances by student delegates of various schools followed by a Gala Theme Dinner depicting the different regions of India with a local market setup and cuisine specific to that region was served with the local cultural performances. On second day the first Keynote Speaker was Sophia- the first ever Robot Citizen. She spoke about the environmental disturbances caused by climate change and provided solutions for the same. 2nd was Ms Kiran Gandhi, Los Angeles based Musician and Activist who spoke about the significance of using ‘Passion for Purpose’. The third day was quite adventurous with a visit to Mandu, which has great historical significance in India. Various monuments like Rani Roopmati Mahal, Baj Bahadur’s Mahal, Jahaz Mahal and Hoshang Shah's Tomb were visited. 4th day held in store a visit to Ahilya Fort at Maheshwar. After returning students departed for Service activities according to Barazza groups. On the last day there was a Marathon-RUN FOR CANCER with the first Blade Runner of India Major DP Singh. There were 2 Keynote Speakers lined up for the last day. First was Major DP Singh who spoke that how his strong determination kept him going despite of being differently abled. He told that ‘Nothing in this world can stop us as we are the boss of our lives. Second was Swami Gaur Gopal Das who spoke about the secrets of impactful success. Eventually the Conference came to an end. In the evening there was Closing Ceremony followed by the last Theme Dinner-‘Bollywood Night’. All the delegates danced enthusiastically and made memories which they could cherish forever. On 9th October the team returned back to Jodhpur. This was truly an unparalleled opportunity which helped the students to interact with students across the globe, gain confidence and broaden their horizons.
