ROUND SQUARE CONFERENCE AT THE DOON SCHOOL, DEHRADUN

A team of Six students namely Shreya Jain, Ayushi Malani, Avni Jain, Mudrika Jhala, Nandini Nathawat, Sneha Mirdha with Escort Teacher Ms Rekha Desai participated in the Conference organized by The Doon School, Dehradun on the theme “Inspire to Serve, Empower to Lead” from 5th to 7th December 2018.

This journey was long yet enjoyable. Delegates were excited to reach the campus of the famous host school. The British School, Sunbeam School, Varanasi, Indian High School, Dubai etc. were a part of this Conference. There were 162 delegates from 22 schools all over the globe who actively participated in this Conference.

The first day at The Doon School started with the Registration Orientation Session, Ice Breaking and the Campus tour. The Conference become officially open on 5th December 2018. The ceremony was graced by Dr. Bisht and the Deputy Headmaster of the school. Eminent Keynote Speakers like Dr. Bisht and J.K. Swami interacted with the delegates and imparted them useful information and knowledge. They used various interesting techniques to convey the message. Students were divided into different Barraza groups. All baraza sessions were interactive which gave them an insight about the ways of leadership and service. All the delegates from various schools exchanged their ideas and enjoyed various activities. The next day was followed by Trekking where all delegates along with their escort teachers set an example by almost Trekking from Dehradun to Mussoorie. In the evening there was a cultural programme organized. Songs and dances were performed by various schools. On the last day, all the Barraza groups went to different locations for Service like Wall Painting and Chart Making in Government Schools. RKK always makes sure that students go for such wonderful conferences and return with their bags full of memories and learning.
