On the 16th of October, a group of 6 students - Neelakshi Inda, Sanghmitra Maheshwari, Mumal Deora, Doyal Khandelwal, Mannat Mehta, Rajeshwari Rathore along with their escort teacher Ms Sandra Hill set out to The Daly College, Indore from
16th to 21st October 2018 to participate in the
‘Round Square Trek and Adventure Camp - ‘Novaturient’.
The Opening Ceremony commenced on the 17th, where the Keynote Speaker, Mr. Ratnesh Pandey, a professional mountaineer, gave an influential speech and showed the delegates a breath-taking video of singing India's National Anthem atop Mount Everest by him. The rest of the day was charged up with Barraza Sessions, Land Zorbing, Rock and Rope Climbing and Water Zorbing.
The next day, the teams left for camping in Mandu, a city known for its Afghani architectural heritage. During the stay there, teams visited spellbinding historical monuments like the Jahaj Mahal, the Rani Roopmati Pavilion, The Baz Bahadur Palace, the Baz Bahadur Tomb and the Neelkanth Mahadev Temple. Students learnt how to set up tents, how to build a campfire, the use of different kinds of ropes , how to tie different kinds of knots with them and participated in adventure tasks like ladder walking, twin rope walking and trekking. After 3 invigorating days in Mandu, the teams arrived at The Daly College and departed homewards with fond memories that will be cherished forever.
