DAIMUN or Dhirubhai Ambani International Model United Nation 2015 was set to the theme of ‘Africa : Transformation and the Challenges Ahead’- a topic of huge revelance in today’s global scenario. A delegation of 6 students - Sameeksha Chouhan, Padmini Yadav, Ridhi Goyal, Supriya Bhandari, Avya Dhariwal, Jeet Sandhu and their teacher escort Mrs. Sapna Gupta represented RKK from 20th–23rd Nov 2015. The Six Committees- the Economic & Social Council (ECOSOC) Human Rights Commission (HRC), the Security Council, the Legal Assembly and the General Assembly had a topic pertaining to the theme of the Conference. Real meaning was given to the theme by the invaluable inputs of the esteemed Chief Guest, His Excellency, Mr. Pule Malefane. The level of the debate in DAIMUN 2015 was of a very high stature. This was a direct consequence of the brilliant 600 delegates that graced DAIMUN. The Presidents lauded the research skills and in-depth knowledge of the student delegates about each topic. Compromises were made and resolutions were passed. Constant questions to the expert chairs, reports, heated arguments, arbitrations, negotiations etc. gave the delegates a backbone to their participation. In all, DAIMUN 2015 made all the participating individuals aware and caring global citizens. It provided the delegates a platform for intelligent debate, a voice to express freely their desires, opinions, suggestions and views – A voice that is the future of ‘One World’.
