The Le Concours de la Francophone du Mayo, a three-day French fest, took place with great enthusiasm and zeal. A team of 12 RKKians -
Sanvie Jain, Mehu Sunil Verma, Parishi Goyal, Rashi Bafna, Divyanshi Sisodia, Charvvi Jaiin, Prachi Jain, Srishti Jain, Bhavi Mehta, Jasmitha Pitti, Mayurakshi Nathawat with their Escort Teacher – Ms Anushikha Robins, ably trained by Mrs Swati Chauhan, Mrs Swati Bhati, Mr Manoj Kumar Sandha, Ms Neetu Parihar represented with confidence and elan. The event, spread over three days held from 8th to 10th October 2024, celebrated French art, language, and culture, bringing together participants eager to immerse themselves in this vibrant experience.
The first day started with the Francophone Exhibition in which RKK exhibited Switzerland and impressed the judges. The following day, started with various events happening simultaneously like Quiz, Olympiad, Junior Solo Song, the Poem Recitation and the movie screenings. In the evening, the Opening Ceremony in the Kangra Amphitheatre was conducted where students of the host school gave tremendous performances and the Finals of Poem Recitation and Solo Singing Juniors took place.
The final day was a celebration of the achievements made throughout the event. The first event of the day was the Solo Song Seniors preliminary round, followed by the Spell Bee Competition for Juniors. The delegates then headed for a school tour later followed by a thrilling Polo match. The day culminated in the Closing Ceremony, where outstanding participants and contributors were recognised with awards. They witnessed the finals for Solo Song Seniors and then screening of top-3 movies.
The students of RKK left an indelible mark with their performances and came back victorious.
In the Francophone Exhibition, Bhavi Mehta of Class IX B and Srishti Jain of Class IX A secured the 1st Position. In the French Cuisine competition, Mayurakshi Nathawat of Class XI A and Jasmitha Pitti of Class X A bagged the Second Position.
