MAYO COLLEGE GIRLS’ SCHOOL, AJMER (13TH EDITION OF SILVER JUBILEE COMMEMORATIVE YOUNG THINKERS’ CONCLAVE)


A team of 10 talented Rkkians - Piya Salech, Aarohi Bhattacherje, Pari Salecha, Darshana Anwala, Manvi Gulecha, Khyati Rathi, Naavya Rathi, Dhruvi Mehta, Chaheti Rathi, Malvika Singh with their Teacher Escort Ms Reena Mishra proudly represented the school at the prestigious 13th Edition of Silver Jubilee Commemorative Young Thinkers’ Conclave, ‘SHADES OF TIME’ hosted by Mayo College Girls’ School, Ajmer from 20th to 23rd August 2024. The event commenced with an inspiring introduction to Mr. Parnav Mukherjee, one of South Asia’s most renowned speaker, who served as the curator for this remarkable gathering.

Over the course of three dynamic days, RKKians engaged in a series of intellectually stimulating events, including English and Hindi Debate, Creative Writing, Quiz, and English Dramatics. We are thrilled to share that our Hindi Debate team not only advanced through the preliminary and semi-final rounds but also secured a coveted spot in the top four, triumphantly making it to the finals. Despite fierce competition, Team RKK stood strong, ultimately securing the 4th position among 23 prominent schools including The Emerald Heights International School, Indore, Maharani Gayatri Devi School, Jaipur, The Doon School, Dehradun and Mayo College Boy’s School, Ajmer.

In addition to their impressive performance in the Hindi Debate, our English Dramatics team also shone brightly, earning a joint-third trophy in the event. As the Conclave drew to a close, team Rkk returned with a sense of pride, enriched by the invaluable experiences and cherished memories, including a conversation with the esteemed Chief Guest, Dr. Kiran Bedi.

In total, Team Rkk brought home three prestigious trophies, solidifying their place as one of the most successful teams at the event. Special accolades goes to Chaheti Rathi, who was awarded the ‘Best Speaker’ (Rebuttal) in the final round of Hindi Debate, and Aarohi Bhattacharjee, who received the overall ‘Best Interjector’ award in English Debate. The Dramatics team, comprising Darshna Anwala, Manvi Gulecha, and Aarohi Bhattacharjee, earned the joint-third position, further highlighting our school’s talent.

English Creative Writing Participants: Naavya Rathi (IX A), Khyati Rathi (IX A), Manvi Gulecha (IX C).
