Amidst the vibrant ambiance of intellectual exchange and spirited competition, a delegation of six bright minds, accompanied by Ms Reena Mishra, embarked on a journey to the 13th Invitational DF Jack Memorial English Debate, Padmashree JK Kate Memorial Hindi Debate and PG Miller Memorial Quiz, hosted by the prestigious Daly College, Indore. Proud participants were :

· For Quiz: Srishti Jain - IX A & Lakshya Gehlot - XII B
The event unfolded with grandeur on the 17th April, commencing with an eloquent Opening Ceremony preceding the riveting contests of the Hindi and English debates. While our endeavours in the Hindi debate did not secure us a place in the quarters, our English debate team showcased commendable prowess, earning a spot in the Quarterfinals. Following a hearty lunch, we engaged in the Quiz Preliminaries, displaying our collective intellect and knowledge. Though laurels may have eluded us, the wealth of experiences garnered during our participation promises to be invaluable assets in our future endeavors in debating and quizzing.
Reflecting on our journey, we have distilled several key insights that shall serve as guiding principles in our pursuit of excellence:
· We learned that in the realm of debating, body language can wield significant influence, and even the slightest gesture can convey volumes.
· Effective debate hinges not only on the substance of arguments but also on the delivery. Adequate voice modulation and confident presentation are paramount for leaving a lasting impression.
· The rebuttal speech emerged as a critical juncture where a well-timed and impactful response can sway opinions and tilt the scales in one's favour.
· Our perception of debates evolved from mere verbal combat to a nuanced art form, where diverse perspectives converge in a harmonious symphony of intellect.
· Rather than resorting to verbal aggression, we realized the potency of channelling our assertiveness into the articulation of innovative ideas and compelling arguments.
· True mastery in speaking transcends mere knowledge; it is rooted in the passion and conviction with which one articulates their ideas.
In commemorating our collective efforts and achievements, we embark upon the next chapter of our journey, fortified with newfound wisdom and camaraderie.
