Manasvi Bhandari, Bhumika Jalora, Minakshi Soni, Mehu Sunil Verma, Sakshi Rathore, Ekta Nahata, Preksha Pungalia, Gunraj Singh Chouhan, Mahimaba Sarvaiya, Vidushi Digga, Ashwani Dewal, Natasha Misra, Avantika Mishra, Paridhi Mehta, Tiasha Tak & Manvi Gulecha and 2 teachers participated in the Shrimant Madhavrao Scindia Dharohar Heritage Fest, with this year’s state theme – GUJARAT. The event took place in the lush green campus of Scindia Kanya Vidyalaya, Gwalior from 18th to 20th April 2024.
Many prestigious schools from India including, Mayo College Girls’ School (Ajmer), Vidya Devi Jindal School (Hissar), Maharani Gayatri Devi Girls’ School (Jaipur), Stepping Stones High School (Aurangabad), Birla Public School (Pilani), Sunbeam School (Varanasi) and Rajmata Krishna Kumari Girls’ Public School (Jodhpur) to name a few, participated in the fest.
The Fest included 12 events, namely, Gujarati Cuisine, Rabari Bharot Embroidery, Bandhej, Mata Ni Pachedi, Ajrakh Block Printing, Trifold Brochure, Kutch Lippan Art, Gujarati Sugam Sangeet (Vocal Solo), Gujarati Folk Music (Vocal Group), Folk Dance of Gujarat, Bhavai and Gujarat in my School.
The RKKians took part in all the categories and performed brilliantly. Team’s performances and artworks left a remarkable impression on the judges. The fun filled and creative journey was a great learning experience for all.
The Principal’s Dinner, transformed into a vibrant Garba night, radiated with fun and dance, making it a memorable occasion. Remarkable preparation adorned the venue as students, clad in exquisite Gujrati attire, danced joyously throughout the night. Indulging in delicious cuisine served in traditional leaf plates added to the glorious atmosphere of the event. Regardless of the outcome, the experience was enriched by the bonds forged, the collaborative spirit and the sheer enjoyment shared among all.
The proud winners were :- 2nd Position in Mata Ni Pachedi & 3rd Position in Bandhej were bagged by Avantika Mishra and Natasha Misra of Class - XI & XII.
- 2nd Position in Gujrati Cuisine & Kutch Lippan Art were bagged by Mahimaba Sarvaiya and Gunraj Singh Chauhan of Class - XII.
A heartfelt gratitude to Yatheesh Kasaragod, Divya Solanki, Sanjay Bohra, Deepak Bohra, Manoj Kumar Sandha, Reema Rathore Ma’am, Neetu Parihar ma’am, Renny Ma’am and Vimal Verma for helping & guiding the team to polish their creative skills.

There was art and creativity in the air. Expressions were unleashed and the canvas was filled with emotions which could only be felt.
