Henry Ford.With full enthusiasm and preparation, 2 Rkkians - Pari Salecha – X & Lavina Bhawnani - XI along with their teacher escort Ms Aashna Jain left the portals of RKK on 21st of August 2023 for their journey to India International School, Jaipur for participation in the 12th edition of the Abhisek Dangi Memorial Debate held from 22-23 August 2023. 12 debaters from different schools participated for the same.
The preliminary round was an Extempore and it was a mixed bag of both nervousness and excitement we started the day 1. 10 topics were given beforehand and participants had to speak on one from a bowl of chits.
There was a tough competition between all the participants as all of them showcased their rhetorical skills. The qualifying teams were given the topics there and then which was ‘This house believes that diplomacy in building military might and not table talks’.
The next day started with the debate where 6 speakers spoke in favour and 6 against the motion. The participants enthusiastically debated. Though RKK’s team could not qualify and win laurels for themselves and school but are truly very grateful for the exposure as they gained a lot of learning throughout.
