“The soundest argument will produce no more conviction in an empty head than the most superficial declamation; as a feather and a guinea fall with equal velocity in a vacuum’’. ~Charles Caleb ColtonTwo students - Suhani Baheti and Sumriddhi Sharma from Rajmata Krishna Kumari Girls’ Public School, Jodhpur actively participated in the 6th Asfandyar Bukhari Declamation Forum hosted by the Cadet College Hasanabdal. The competition took place from 12 noon to 3:30 pm on 23rd of January. Many schools like British Overseas School Pakistan, Vivek High School Chandigarh, Pathways World School Aravali, SAI International School Bhuvneshwar and many more participated in the competition.
Six topics were given and one topic by each student had to be chosen. It started with an introduction of the whole theme and basic rules for the competition followed by speeches in order. The topic chosen by Suhani Baheti - ‘Life shrinks or expands in proportion to one’s courage’ and Sumriddhi Sharma – ‘Leaders always lead by the power of their example and not vice versa’.
It was a challenge to bring the finest words in the form of declamation and provided great learning forum to the students.
