The Inter House Rhyme and Rhythm Competition was organised by the English Department at RKKGPS, on August 5, 2024, bringing together a miscellany of intriguing War poems and fascinating, budding orators, alike. Each House was represented by 24 such students, across the grades VI-VIII. Celebrating the beauty and artistry of poetry and music, the young minds displayed their poetic prowess, one by one, in a choral recitation, weaving a beautiful tapestry of rhyme and rhythm. Each performance seemed to eclipse the other, and the powerful renditions left the three judges spell-bound, also infusing a spirit of patriotism and respect amongst everyone, in the process! Distinguished in their respective fields of Literature, the judges had a tough time deciding the best of the lot.
The parameters that decided the victory of one House over the other, included voice modulation, stress and intonation, overall coordination and team-work, to mention a few. The comperes skilfully kept the audience engaged and added a dash of fun by asking riddles when the results were being compiled. Thereafter, the results were announced and the winners felicitated by the judges. The House that claimed the Trophy with pride as the winner, was Sri Durga House. The house-wise positions included Sri Bhawani House securing the second place, Sri Shakti House on the third position, and Sri Ambika House, finishing fourth, respectively.
