"You are not alive if you are undead," read Parnab Sir's t-shirt on the first day of the event. However, it wasn't until the conclusion of the event that we fully realized that literature is indeed alive. On August 2, 2024, a team of eight students -
Suhani Lodha (Trialogue), Nishika Kumbhat (Trialogue), Nandini Khichi (Trialogue), Adwitiya Saxena (Quiz and Hindi Creative Writing), Aarohi Bhattarcherjee (English Debate), Piya Salecha (English Debate and English Creative Writing), Dhruvi Mehta (Hindi Debate and Quiz) and Shaambhavi Gulecha (Hindi Debate) accompanied by their dedicated escort, Mrs. Anushikha Massey, departed from the warm embrace of Rajmata Krishna Kumari Girls' Public School with suitcases full of preparation and returned with memories and medals. After a grueling 25-hour journey, the team arrived in the picturesque town of Nainital.
The real challenge began on August 4th, as the RKKians faced off against other schools in the qualifying rounds of the Quiz and English Debate, and the main round of the Creative Writing Competition. The following day featured the Opening Ceremony, Semi-Final round of English Debate, Trialogue Competition, qualifying round of the Hindi Debate, Quiz Finals, and English Debate Finals, all followed by a prestigious Prize-giving Ceremony. The curators of the event were none other than the distinguished Mr. Parnab Mukherjee and Mr. Sahej.
The Trialogue presented by the RKK team was a Standout Performance, leaving a lasting impression on the audience. Similarly, the Hindi Debate captivated the judges with its depth and eloquence. Although our school did not qualify for the finals in both the English Debate and the Quiz, the experience provided invaluable lessons on how to better prepare for future competitions.
The final day began with the Hindi debate finals, in which our students excelled, followed by the Closing Ceremony, which featured remaining awards and insightful speeches by the Judges.
