A Virtual Conference on
‘Water’ was held on
14th February 2018 between Chanderbala Modi Academy; Ankleshwar and Rajmata Krishna Kumari Girls’ Public School, Jodhpur. This team comprised students from Keru Hostel, Hanwant School, Chopasani and Rajmata School, the sister concerns of His Highness Maharaja Hanwant Singhji Charitable Trust, Jodhpur.
After a brief introduction, the students exchanged their views about the topic ‘Water’ – a precious life giving natural resource. They discussed about the percentage of fresh and potable water available and how it has been polluted beyond repair. This being the biggest global concern requires immediate attention. Various methods of conservation were discussed; Rainwater Harvesting, Inter connection of Rivers, Canals to name a few, merits and demerits of desalination of ocean water, ultrafiltration etc were the focal point of discussion.
The conference helped in creating awareness about the environmental issues regarding water among the students. They were highly motivated about bringing the change in society to conserve this precious natural resource.
