UNISON WORLD SCHOOL, DEHRADUN (BSAI WORKSHOPS FOR SCHOOL COUNSELLORS AND STUDENTS)


A team of 2 students - Minakshi Soni & Ira Gehlot with their Teacher Escort – Ms Aashna Jain, Counsellor participated in the BSAI Workshop for School Counsellors and Students. On 18th of August the next day participants were welcomed in Indian style A mesmerizing singing performance by two Meghalian students of their school and an Indian folk dance by a group of students stole the show. Simultaneously workshops were organized for Counsellors & Students :

The following Topics were discussed :

1) Building Bridges and Fostering Connections - Speaker: Dr. Veena Krishnan

2) Counselling Sessions: Models & Approaches for Students' Well-Being - Speaker: Dr. Sakshi Mehrotra

3)  Fostering Safe and Inclusive Spaces in Boarding Schools - Speaker: Dr. Veena Krishnan

4)  Professional Growth and Ethical Practice - Speaker: Col. Alankar Bharadwaj

5)  The Toolbox of Strategies: Navigating Challenges - Speaker: Ms. Binu Thomas

6)  Academic Staff Training and Well-Being for Student Success and Self-Care for the Counsellor: Maintaining Balance and Resilience - Speaker: Dr. Shaurya Garg

A comprehensive series of workshops titled "Unlocking Financial Literacy" consisting of four sessions were organized. This event allowed the participants to gain extensive knowledge on Finance, Investments, Banking and Money Management.

WORKSHOPS ON UNLOCKING FINANCIAL LITERACY FOR STUDENTS

Session 1: Introductory Session on Building Blocks of Finance, Its Key Terms and Linkages

Session 2: The World of Investing: Exploring Investment Opportunities, Mutual Funds, SIPs, IPOs, And Stock Trading

Session 3: Navigate Bank, Electronic Transfer Financial System Tax Essentials

Session 4:
From Campus to Career: Money Management and Mastering Your Budget in Your 20s

The event brought together experts in the field of student well-being and provided valuable insights for participants, particularly those working in educational settings. Overall, the workshops were highly informative and eye-opening, providing participants with a wealth of knowledge and practical tools to enhance their professional practice.
