Rajmata Krishna Kumari Girls' Public School celebrated Global Youth Service Day (GYSD) 2024 with a sustainability initiative that combined Education, Action and Community Involvement from

Under the theme "Green Footprints: Cultivating a Sustainable Future with AFS India", the students of RKKGPS initiated a "7 Days of Sustainability" campaign. This campaign involved students, teachers and support staff, educating them about simple sustainable practices that can be integrated into their daily lives.
The event inspired participants to make positive environmental changes through seven simple actions, one for each day of the week:
- Carpooling
- Minimizing the use of single-use plastics
- Carrying cloth bags
- Reusing water
- Segregating waste
- Using LED lights
Making bio-enzyme cleaners from fruit peels for home use.
Through these efforts, RKKGPS demonstrated the power of Youth Leadership and the importance of Community Engagement in the fight for a sustainable future. By participating in these activities, students and community members took tangible steps toward reducing their environmental footprint and fostering a culture of sustainability.
