AFS India provided a platform to students to showcase their culinary skills through MasterChef Program between
15th August to 11th September 2020 with two rounds and seven categories. Four MasterChefs and avid cooks -
Sakshi Lata, Mannat Jain, Mihika Kishore and Vanshika Sachdeva participated with full gusto, developed their culinary creations and won immense appreciation and Certificate for their presentation in the month of January. Also, another good platform during Covid -19 time for learning something new and spending good & happy time was provided by AFS India in the form of Dance for Change. There were five different types of dance forms namely Bollywood Fusion, Ifuago of Philipines, Damat Halayi of Turkey, Kandyan style of Sri Lanka and Bahary Dance of Egypt. Students could take part in either one or all the dance forms as per their choice. Khushboo Vyas attended the AFS Dance for Change Workshop on
13th December 2020 and bagged International Certificate. Each dance form had two classes, one for below 18 years for Classes VI to XII and one for above 18 years held in November, December and January. The dances were taught by experts on Zoom platform for 90 minutes. During the call, the participants also learnt about the dance history and its significance.
Both the events were more than a life experience for all the participants.
