International Volunteer Day was celebrated on Friday,
20th December 2019. All the school volunteers of Jodhpur Chapter were asked to conduct some fun game / fun race / track event / mass display of their respective class. The cold breezy morning witnessed students in full zeal who, spent happy time outside their classrooms in green lawns of RKK with all decorations, seating arrangement and other paraphernalia laid out to feel special and important. A cake was presented to each AFS Volunteer as a token of their hard work, thanking them to work tirelessly meeting all commitments and deadlines. The AFS volunteers shared their cake with the students in the form of their happiness and blessings.
Christmas is a season not only of rejoicing but of reflection. As we rejoiced and celebrated this wonderful season of Christmas, with all the volunteers and host students, we did not forget to thank lord Jesus for coming into our lives. We were together prepared to welcome him into the homes of our hearts.
The same day, at RKK, all the AFS volunteers and host students gathered to celebrate Christmas as well. Foot tapping dances on Christmas songs were enough to spread, joy, happiness and cheer. Sharing with all the Glory; the Wonder, the Miracle; of this Holy Season Christmas Cake was cut.
Christmas celebration is the perfect time when we said bye-bye to all the past resentments with people around. It was the perfect time to make up for all the relationships and start it all over again. These were the some perfectly perfect ways of celebrating AFS International Volunteer Day 2019 that not only quenched our soul and nurtured it with positivity but also helped in spreading the pious and benevolent message of Jesus Christ.
