RISING LEADERS’ SUMMIT (SCOONEWS IN ASSOCIATION WITH IIT GANDHINAGAR)


The Rising Leaders Summit, curated by Ms Aditi Misra and Ms Amrita Burman and hosted by ScooNews, took place from 8th to 10th February 2024. The summit brought together eminent educationists who shared their insights and expertise on various crucial aspects of leadership and education. From RKK two Deans participated – Mrs Seema Baxi, Dean Academics – Seniors & Mrs Neeta Johari, Dean Academics Juniors (Pre Primary & Primary Department).

Here's a brief overview of the speakers and their topics:

1. Lt Gen S Kulkarni delivered a session on "Comprehensive Crisis Management: Anticipating, Preparing for, and responding to Diverse Emergencies, Including Conflict Resolution and POCSO ACT." He emphasized the importance of making connections and investing in people.

2. Prof Manish Jain spoke about the "Relevance of School Education in the Era of GPT, Social Media, and Short Attention Spans." He highlighted the significance of experiential learning and unlocking the potential in every individual.

3. Mr Vishnu Kartik discussed "7 Leadership Levers to Improve Student Learning", focusing on data-driven instruction, observation and feedback, instructional planning, professional development, student and staff culture, and developing instructional leadership teams.

4. Dr. Arunabh Singh addressed "Building Trust Through Culture and Effective Communication," emphasizing competence, honesty, and reliability as the pillars of trust.

5. Dr. Gunmeet Bindra spoke about "Effective Stakeholder Management: Navigating School Leadership, Teachers, Students, Parents, Partners, Vendors, Media, and More - The Art of Communication and School-Parent Partnership Building." She emphasized the importance of effective communication and highlighted the 7 Cs of Communication.

6.  Lt Col A Sekhar stressed the importance of "Effective Structures of Accountability: School Organization Structure that is Effective," discussing accountability, responsibility, and ownership.

7.  Mr Anand Krishnaswamy provided insights on "Crucial Confrontations: The Role of Middle Leaders in Vital Cultural, Pedagogic, Academic, and Operational Negotiations."

8. Mrs Anju Chazot & Mr Pascal Chazot shared their expertise on "Human-Centered Organizational Alignment" through various activities, highlighting the importance of self-improvement before leading others.

The Rising Leaders Summit provided a platform for thought-provoking discussions and valuable insights into leadership and education, empowering attendees to lead with confidence and effectiveness in their respective roles.
