Art and craft are the creations that we do with our hands. Art is an important learning tool in RKK’s classroom because we believe that “Art is a craft of expression - of someone's feelings or thoughts, and it can take many forms depending on a chosen medium." We prepare students not only to create pictures, sculptures and crafts but also provide them an environment where they can experience the satisfaction of self-expression, develop their creativity and are able to learn and think in new ways. The worlds of design, art, engineering, science and architecture are all born of craft at RKK. To see our Art and Craft Lab is to enter a world of wonderful things which can be challenging, beautiful, sometimes useful, tactile, extraordinary and to understand and enjoy the energy and care which has gone into their making.
