Numbers have played a fundamental role in terms of empowering human understanding .And if the creativity and agility also gets involved in the realm of numbers then it becomes a joyful learning.
The lush green lawns of RKK on the winter mornings of the month of January offered a new exposure to the students of grade III to V in the form of Calculus Clan Competition. With the help of numbers and data the questions were specifically designed not to just test their conceptual knowledge but also their analytical skills. It was an Intra Class competition where each section of the class III to V was divided into equal sized groups. The students were made to encounter few sets of questions in the form of different rounds. The mosaic pattern of shapes, the numerical swirl of fractions, billing the shopping articles, building numbers and solving the puzzles applying the four mathematical operations made the tasks challenging but were thoroughly enjoyed by the students. Students of a team received a green card on solving the challenge posed accurately. The winning teams were judged by their maximum number of green cards gained within the stipulated time. The competition not only motivated the students to put forth their best efforts in a collaborative manner but also included a fun factor.
