‘Beyond The Boundaries of Courageous Leaders for Tomorrow’.
The host school, GEMS Modern Academy gave brief introduction about what does a Courageous Leader means? There was an interesting session with Dr. Vandana Shiva who is an Indian scholar, environmental activist, food sovereignty advocate, eco feminist and anti-globalization author. Based in Delhi, Dr. Shiva has written more than 20 books. She is often referred to as "Gandhi of Grain" for her activism associated with the anti-GMO movement.
After this inspiring session, students were divided into Barraza Session that started with introduction followed by an interesting game ‘Two truth and one lie’. A case study about ‘Traditional or Technological’ was given. Students enthusiastically participated and interacted with various schools and had a brief discussion and then came to a conclusion. Overall this RS Postcard Call was an enriching experience which opened up the participants to share their ideas with each other and broadened their horizons.
