28th June 2023, Michael Ham Memorial College in Argentina organised a Round Square Zoom Postcard event titled "What is the real meaning of Beauty." It aimed to gather insights from students around the world on the real meaning of beauty.
Representing RKK were Harshita Lakhawat, Kruti Rathi, Tanishka Jain, Rudrakshi Solanki, Shaambhavi Gulecha, I Nishika Pagaria, and Student Adult Incharge, Aadirtri Bhattacharjee.During the 60-minute call, the host school, Michael Ham Memorial College, began by sharing a video about their perception of beauty. Subsequently, all participants were divided into breakout rooms, where engaging discussions and other activities took place. Thought-provoking questions such as "What is your understanding of beauty?", "Do you think that beauty is in appearance?", "How can we know that a person is truly beautiful?" and many more were explored. Various games were played, encouraging an interactive and inclusive environment.
Returning to the main call, each school's representatives shared their thoughts on a movie or book they considered beautiful. This sharing session provided insights into different aspects and forms of beauty, emphasizing the significance of internal beauty. Furthermore, participants were enlightened about diverse cultural perspectives on beauty through presentations showcasing various countries' interpretations.
We were provoked to explore and discuss beauty practices and beliefs in different countries. It was fascinating to learn about the different approaches people adopt to enhance their beauty and their varying definitions of what is considered beautiful in their lands; as the call drew to a close, we bid farewell with a sense of gratitude and appreciation for the valuable insights gained from this global exchange of perspectives on beauty.
