INTERNATIONAL VIRTUAL CLASS EXCHANGE PROGRAM WITH CGS

“Life is not about winning or losing...It's all about the participation, experience & the lesson we learn from it.”

The Rajmata Krishna Kumari Girls’ Public School, Jodhpur studying in Class VII were very excited for being provided with the opportunity to meet virtually and interact with the students of Chittagong Grammar School, Bangladesh on 3rd February 2022. Information was exchanged on Indian culture, heritage, history, cuisine, music, attire and a lot more of both India and Bangladesh. Students of RKK presented 'Ganesh Vandana' in the classical form. CGS presented about highlights of their country.

Just to add a tinch of humor, we opened the platform with a fun-loving ice-breaking activity that was enjoyed by all. The ground was all set to begin sharing about our Art related to 'Mandala' -made in such a form that represents a spiritual journey followed by describing them our royal heritage of countless embroideries practiced in different parts of the country in which knitting Bangladesh's flag was adored by our friends from the other side of the border. Then we presented an art 'Rangoli' resembling our life in which right dots were connected to make it perfect. Fellow friends also expanded our knowledge by telling us about their glorious monument in which first time we came to know about their Taj Mahal too. A fact we came across is that we share a lot in common when it comes to clothing and yes mentioning their famous 'Jamdani Saree' which was eye-catching for all of us. They offered us to taste their most famous national dish 'Hilsa Fish' whenever we visit them next and why wouldn't we accept the invitation. Coming next in the row was staging full of dance, music, and singing whether it was the Indian instruments or a song in the Bangla language. Last but not least a live violin recital which left all stunned and that was the most amusing part of the conference.

Our bag was still not empty as we grabbed their attention towards the glare of our colorful festivities and a lot of unexplored facts about India. A conference in real that removed the barriers of knowledge between all of us and after visualizing their piece of culture the experience was mesmerizing. Till date whatever we know about Bangladesh was just in books, papers, or journals but this conference provided a platform to know more about each other, especially the music which they presented. This cultural program brought our, students, to interrelate with each other and learn a lot about each other's country. Today with the new and emerging communication technologies and increased globalization, cultural exchange programs have become much more interesting.
