21st February 2024, 7 students comprising – Trisha Talesara, Kanchan Kanwar, Samruddhi Surana, Bhumika Jalora, Pari Heda, Priyanshi Singhvi with their Leader, Jayani Singh Tomar participated in the RS Postcard hosted by St. Stithians’ College on the theme, Community Service" A brief on the theme was given as soon as the call commenced. It started on a fruitful note of the initiatives taken and a presentation displayed by the host school. Next, students were divided into different breakout rooms. Questions were asked from each participant such as, How does your school serve the community? Why is your school active in promoting community service. What is the need? RKKians actively participated in discussions and were able to relate to the theme as RKK has conducted and promoted many community service programmes to raise awareness and answer why it is important for people to help the needy. RKK has always encouraged raising utilities for old age homes, planting trees in sponsorship with rotary clubs, the effect of Project Shakti which includes employing rural people to earn for themselves etc and has fostered a positive environment for open community awareness among all. It was a very encouraging and innovative conference to work towards a better tomorrow and how small initiatives can make huge differences.
