The name given to the team was ‘Math Megaminds’ after the animated pixar character, Megamind. Preparations for the competition started well in advance with Awdhesh Sir and Kuldeep Sir giving abundant material and guidance to ace the competition. The Maths Premiere League was held with the collaboration of American Mathematics Competitions through a website called Arete Labs. 33 schools participated from all across India, which were divided into pools of 4 schools each, out of which one team would go on to the semi-finals. Participants had to go head to head with all teams in their pool in the Preliminary Round. The final points tally ended in a tie between RKK’s team and the Narayana Group. The nail biting tie breaker ended up going to Narayana group who edged out narrowly. Though RKKians missed out by an inch to qualify for the Semi-Finals, the experience was truly one of a kind. The competition helped the participants sharpen their  critical thinking and problem solving skills and tested them beyond textbooks. The level of questions was very competitive which made it all the more fun to solve them. Kuldeep Chand Chauhan and Mr Awdhesh Pathak prepared and guided the students to face such a fun and challenging competition and ignite their passion for numbers.
