“The best that we can do for one another is to exchange our thoughts freely” -James FroudeOn the 23rd of October, a team of 2 students, namely Ananya Agarwal and Priyal Jain along with their Escort Teacher Ms. Aashna Jain, departed from the portals of RKK to attend the
AFS 5th National Annual Meet 2023 at Emerald Heights International School, Indore. They were warmly welcomed by the organising community and were then registered for the meeting. At the time of ice-breaking sessions and got to meet they build rapport with students from different schools.
On the second day, they witnessed the incredible Opening Ceremony which left them in awe. The school flag was borne by Priyal Jain with immense pride. After to two inspirational Keynote Speeches by Mrs. Chhavi Rajawat and Mr. Vivek Atray they were then dismissed to their Barraza rooms to discuss and engage in interactive discussions.
In the evening, they showcased their culture and traditions during the Cultural fest, where RKKians displayed Rajasthani specialities like ghewar, daal baati, leheriya, handicraft items, etc. Their on spot Mehendi corner was truly a hit. A mesmerizing dance-drama performance, 'Ramleela' by the host school students was super amazing. The day ended with energetic Garba night and everyone relished many street cuisines.
On the third day, all participants went for an educational trip to Mandu, which was home to some of the most amazing architecture including the Jahaz Mahal or a Palace that looks like a ship, made by Sultan Ghiyasuddin Khilji.
After exploring Mandu, they then had the Director’s Dinner followed by a DJ party. With heavy hearts and loads of memories the team returned with an enriching experience.
