An interactive session about Artificial Intelligence and Robotics was held on October 11, 2023 at 8.30 am at Badan Rangshala auditorium. The keynote speaker was Mr. Deep Kapuria, the chairman of the Hi- Tech Group and the proud alumnus of Mayo College. The students of Classes 9th, 10th and 11th witnessed the session and had a profound exposure on AI from Sir Kapuria’s experiences.
His insightful journey inspired all the students and the teachers. He not only apprised the audience about AI’s impact in the world today but also talked about the real ethical challenges of AI and the importance of Value education. In a nutshell, his address elaborated about the ethical variations of AI and also about the replacement AI creates to creativity. The session was followed by an engaging Question and Answer round wherein students asked Mr. Deep about careers in AI and values (ethics) contrasting AI.
At last Mr. Deep provided a comprehensive understanding of AI’s current landscape, potential future developments and the critical need for responsible AI deployment.
