SCINDIA KANYA VIDYALAYA, GWALIOR (IPSC VISUAL ARTS FEST)

A team of 14 students - Avantika Mishra, Paridhi Mehta, Natasha Misra, Chhavi Jaju, Vedika Chouhan, Punarva Rajpurohit, Avani Goyal, Disha Balar, Gohil Diyaba Hitendrasinh, Santosh Kanwar, Rishika Parakh, Kirti, Kanishka Rathore and Harshita Bhati with 2 teachers – Mr Yatheesh Kasaragod and Mrs Reema Rathore participated in the IPSC Visual Arts Fest with the theme 'Antarangani: Expressions Unleashed. The event took place in the lush green campus of Scindia Kanya Vidyalaya, Gwalior from 27th to 29th July 2023. 18 schools from India including, Welham Boys’ School, Dehradun (Uttarakhand), Welham Girls’ School, Dehradun (Uttarakhand), Mayo College Girls’ School, Ajmer (Rajasthan), Mayo College, Ajmer (Rajasthan), Daly College, Indore (Madhya Pradesh), The Emerald Heights, Indore (Madhya Pradesh), The Rajkumar College, Rajkot (Gujarat), Pinegrove School, Solan (Himachal Pradesh), The Scindia School, Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh), Scindia Kanya Vidyalaya, Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh), Rajkumar College, Raipur (Chhattisgarh), Yadavindra Public School, Patiala (Punjab), Mody School, Laxmangarh (Rajasthan), Birla Public School, Pilani (Rajasthan), Vidya Devi Jindal School, Hisar (Haryana), The Sanskaar Valley School, Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh), LK Singhania Education Centre, Nagaur (Rajasthan) and Rajmata Krishna Kumari Girls’ Public School, Jodhpur (Rajasthan) participated in the fest. The Fest included 17 events, namely, Human Flowers, Lampshade Painting, Flower Making and Arrangement, Ceramic Painting, Lino Block Making and Printing, Sculpture, Book Cover Illustration, Graffiti On Board, Abstract Geometrical Art, Contemporary Planter Pot, Cake Art, Driftwood Art, Miniature Painting In Contemporary Style, Reimagining Vintage Posters, Photography, and Outdoor Landscape Painting. The students of RKK took part in all the categories and performed brilliantly. RKKians’ artworks left a remarkable impression on the judges and made the school proud with their amazing performance. It is overwhelming s that RKK got the highest number of awards amongst these renowned 18 schools of the country, winning in this fest, the First Position in following six categories :  

Avani Goyal – Celelia Webber Award for Human Flower.

Paridhi Mehta- Jamini Roy Award for Lampshade Painting.

Chhavi Jaju- Madhvi Parekh Award for Ceramic Painting.

Punarva Rajpurohit and Avantika Mishra – Inspiring Artistry Award for Lino Block Making and Printing.

Kanishka Rathore and Harshita Bhati- Snehesh Sinha Award for Driftwood Art.

Rishika Parikh – Artistic Excellence for Photography.

This fun filled and creative journey was a great learning experience for all. All credit goes to Mr Yateesh Kasaragod for his passion and dedication to his craft, which is evident in every masterpiece his students create.
