FIELD TRIP TO RAOLI TODGARH SANCTUARY

On 18 July 2023, students of class X along with their class - teachers went for a field trip to Raoli Todgarh Sanctuary (Siriyari–Pali) with an aim to provide the students with a unique and enriching learning experience outside the classroom. We planned to visit to Bhil Beri Waterfall and the activities included trekking, plantation, Talk by Environmentalists and social interaction where we got some brief and expansive briefings.

The objective of the trip was to enhance classroom learning by making real world connections. These excursions foster experiential and contextual learning, problem-solving skills, social interaction, and a deeper understanding of various subjects.

We were guided by some volunteers who explained in detail about the schedule. We started our journey at 6.30 am and after about two and a half hours of nonstop travel our  bus halted at the gates of Siriyari village which was the destination that had been assigned for the day. The batch, along with the accompanied staff, had stalled for a while, enjoying the scenery along with the refreshments that were provided. Soon we moved forward for trekking on a narrow scary with steep turn roads. Eventually, we made it to our destination - The blue-green Bhil Beri Waterfall, lush green trees all around and those bumpy roads which made the adventure a big one in itself. We also interacted with environmentalists and learnt about the damage caused by mining, deforestation, waste disposal and irrigation. The question-and-answer session with the environmentalist Gaurav Gurjar lasted half an hour. We were also given pots in which there were wild seeds. Our trip ended about 9:00 p.m. The trip was successful and beneficial for us and we believed that our objective was achieved.
