INTER HOUSE VOCAL VOLCANO COMPETITION


ENGLISH DEBATE COMPETITION

The English Debate Competition was held on 4th May 2023 in New Library, and it was a resounding success. This competition was organized for grades III to V. The aim of the competition was to encourage students to improve their public speaking and critical thinking skills while fostering healthy competition.

We were honored to have three distinguished judges Mrs Arushikha Gupta, Mrs Shaheen Salat and Mrs Kshipra Biswas Arora on our panel, who brought their expertise and impartiality to the competition. The judges who presided over the competition were a diverse group of professionals. The topics of the competition for various grades III, IV and V were

Grade 3: 1. Books are a gateway to imagination while television restricts it.

                   2. Every child should have a pet.

Grade 4: 1. Good grades are a key to success.

                   2. “Physical Vs Virtual” which is the better playground sports or videogames.

Grade 5: 1. There is no future in the past.

                   2. Making the most of each moment today is the key to unlocking a prosperous future.

Four participants each of grades 3,4 and 5 from the various houses Ambika, Bhawani, Durga and Shakti participated with great zeal and enthusiasm.

The judges evaluated the participants and declared the winners.

GRADE 3:  FIRST BEST SPEAKER-Shanaya Karki.

          SECOND BEST SPEAKER- Joanna Rae Aska.

GRADE 4:   FIRST BEST SPEAKER - Eirene Rana.

     SECOND BEST SPEAKER-Prathistha Shekawat .

GRADE 5:   FIRST BEST SPEAKER- Ira Pahwa.

          SECOND BEST SPEAKER-Mehal Sharda

The overall trophy was secured by Sri DURGA House.

The participants demonstrated exceptional skills and presented compelling arguments making it difficult for the judges to decide the winners.
