20th January 2023 the Farewell of the Batch of 2023 was organised at the verdant lawns of RKK on the theme of Bollywood. The event was organised by the Class XI students divided into teams of Compering, Dances, Qawwali and the Organizing Committee. The lawns were decorated with lights and selfie booths along with a small reception area, which was done by the Organising Committee under the guidance of teachers. The event started with Class XII registering themselves and receiving a token of love that being a keychain from Class XI. Each one of them looked exceptionally beautiful, draped in gorgeous Sarees.
By 6:30 pm, the show started with the welcome address followed by the comperes, whose team included, Jaya, Nikita, Eva, Divya, Palak, Udita and Deeksha. The whole show presented by Class XI included a variety of events. Dances by the Day Scholars and the Boarders gave an exceptionally exciting and electrifying performance, which included Qawwali wherein the students gave a soul stirring and phenomenal performance, the slideshows - Yaaron and Pal which displayed the beautiful memories that each one of them had as they grew up. The videos were created by the Organising Committee. It also included a small interactive game conducted by Mr Vimal Kumar wherein childhood photos of Class XII students were presented and the remaining 12thees and teachers had to guess the same. The show included the much awaited segments of Ramp walk and Titles wherein all the 3 sections of Class XII came up on the stage with their respective Class Teachers to walk the ramp and each of them gave equally stunning poses. The Titles segment was the most interesting and exciting. Each of the titleholder did utmost justice to their Titles.
The show also included emotional segments such as Echoes wherein Mumal Deora, Gauri Baxi, Jainika Sisodia, Kanak Joshi, Harshita Bhandari and Kumkum Chouhan, gave a heart-warming speech of what future holds for them and how grateful they are for RKKGPS. Principal Ma’am’s speech was the most endearing and touching segment wherein she addressed the batch of 2023 for the last time and by the end of her speech all present, stood out of respect for the outgoing batch while the video – ‘Sands of Time’ played. The event ended with the DJ which although lasted for a short time but gave all the students valuable memories that’ll last forever. At last everyone gathered to click photographs and enjoy the scrumptious dinner. The Farewell of 2023 marked a grand success.
