FOLK LORE EVENT (AFS, INDIA)

There are those who admire Nehru and there are those who blame him for a poor economy, there are those who are Modi followers and there are those who feel he has destroyed the social and religious fabric of India. At a much more personal level,

Now, it all depends on whether the recorder of the history of these individuals likes and admires them or not. The history of India has been written largely by foreigners who neither admired nor understood Indians. It is therefore time that we rewrite our history so that future generations are better informed and are proud of our past.

This endeavour of rewriting History was taken by AFS India by organising Folk Lore Event on 31st December 2021 where students were asked to write an essay on leaders whom they admire.

Hemangini Bhati of grade XI enthusiastically participated in this event showcasing the rich and varied heritage of The Rajputs. Indeed it was a great learning experience to search and research the forgotten heroes .
