VIRTUAL CULTURAL CONFERENCES WITH PRAGNYA BODHINI HIGH SCHOOL, MUMBAI

We, the representatives of Rajmata Krishna Kumari Girls’ Public School, are very grateful for being provided with the opportunity of interacting with the representatives of Pragnya Bodhini High School, Mumbai by AFS India. Not only did we got to know the culture of Mumbai, but also revised ours by sharing them with the representatives of Pragnya Bodhini High School, Mumbai. This program lasted for 4 months and each of the 4 sessions lasted for about 1.5 hours.

On 22nd December 2020, when we first met, we all had introduced ourselves in various ways and both the schools had given a brief about their cities and states and things one could do when he/she visits either of the places. We had also played a few guessing games on the sounds of Mumbai.

On 12th  January 2021,
we discussed about Girl Power and how girls are no less than boys. We also learnt the amazing skills girls are equipped with all across India. Thereafter, we familiarised ourselves with the cuisine of each of the places. We also witnessed a live demonstration of preparing cuisine. Another topic we discussed was the festivals of Jodhpur and Mumbai and how they are celebrated.

On 20th February 2021,
we showed various arts of Jodhpur and got to see theirs too. Music and dance in native languages was exchanged and I believe both the schools enjoyed. Understanding leisure time activities was also a part of the discussion.

In the last session of this program, which was held on 20th March 2021, we educated ourselves about the people of Mumbai and Jodhpur who had left a mark on the globe. The only difference on March 20th was that this was more of a spontaneous and prompt discussion with no elaborate preparations beforehand.

We are truly honoured and thank AFS for providing both the schools with such a wonderful opportunity.
