EQUIP & EMPOWER THE YOUTH

The Duke of Edinburgh's International Award offers an international currency and credibility across the world. In India, the Award is run in the name of the International Award for Young People under the supervision of the Award Programme Foundation, a non-profitable, charitable trust.

The IAYP promotes the Award and provides young people with the Award programme. It brings together practical experiences and skills to create committed global citizens and equips young people for life. The vision of IAYP is to engage young people from diverse backgrounds; equip them with life skills; empower them to succeed in life, and reward their achievements.

Keeping the above aspects in view, a Training Workshop for Mrs Sapna Gupta, Mrs Seema Malhotra Baxi, Mrs Neeta Johari, Mrs Indra Shaktawat, Mrs Manju Singh, Mrs Sita Kumari, Ms Priyanka Sharma and Ms Swati Rathore the Award Leaders of RKK, was conducted on 14th July 2018. Bivujit Mukhoti, very enthusiastic and high spirited Programme Manager of IAYP, conducted this workshop.

With the support of adult mentors and the award leaders, the Award helps young people to unleash their passions and believe in the power of their own potential. Through the Award, young people can be empowered - and not just to confidence, but the desire to create meaningful changes; to find their purpose, passion and place in the world. The Workshop was based on the introduction of Award, Philosophy of Award, Service, Skills, Physical Recreation, Adventurous Journey and Residential Project for Gold level. Under each session, the Award Leaders    performed a few activities that made use of their imagination, skill and initiative. The day ended happily with an innovative and creative learning experience.
