ACKNOWLEDGING THE UNHAILED


It was an honour and a privilege to be invited to the third session of the Emerald Heights Model United Nations Conference (EHMUN) held at The Emerald Heights International School, Indore from 24th to 26th April 2018.

9 students and Teacher Escort Mrs Neelam Deora of Rajmata Krishna Kumari Girls’ Public School, Jodhpur participated in this Model United Nations- a scholastic and an intellectual simulation of the United Nations. RKKians are delighted to attend such internationally recognized activities which strive to educate participants in matters of international concern and current events.

The theme of the Conference was ‘Acknowledging the unhailed’ – Visiting the unexplored ruins of own negligence’. The following Committees- United Nations General Assembly , Disarmament and International Security (DISEC), United Nations Security Council (UNSC), United Nations Human Rights Committee (UNHRC), North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), US Senate and Press Corps were represented by Tiya Gupta, Kanishka Sharan, Tirtha A, Janvi Kamnani, Manvi Jhanwar, Prerna Jain, Surbhi Pittie, Anushka Roy and Mannat Suri.

Verbal Mention to Tirtha in NATO and Prerna Jain and Tiya Gupta in Press Corps has been a boost to their learning and participation. This activity provided the delegates a stage to debate about the international issues and the same time helped them to improve their public speaking, writing and researching skills.
